He was a very good subject.

This is also my first test to see how the flickr blog posting works. :D

New Site, Mission re-aligned. More Opportunity!

I've just posted my new site with my new prices, and I'm very excited. I want to thank Strobist for getting me to think about what really matters, especially in this day and age.

Visit my website at www.zachsarette.com.

More to come!

Week in Boston and Saturday Shooting

With new branding comes new ideas. Just after my new redesign and mission instating of my wedding photography I come across Strobist.com on Friday during break time. It really hit home for me. Working for free! Or mostly free.

I realize that with my mission, I'm going to have to structure my whole business differently. And I kind of like that. I like to be able to use my full creative talent to produce eye exploding amazing things for people.

A few other things hit on Friday.

  1. Nothing beats experience!
  2. It's not about how much you make. It's how much you keep!
  3. A lot of photographers get the wrong kind of experience just for money.
  4. A lot of photographers forfeit their creative control for money
And today I realized that I'm growing up. I'm going to be okay. And I'm getting very very good. I also need to thank all of my resources that have helped in my learning and thinking about my mission and creative mind. Most recently I'd like to thank Strobist.com!

I've gone lighting crazy thanks to strobist! I've thought about light in so many different ways. I see light and think light just like when I learned how to see colors during my painting course. Thank you, strobist! I never stop learning! It's great! (It's hard work, but it's great!)

I still have to do some thinking and planing now more than ever for my business and website and brand. I got really excited when I saw things coming together like a family!

Here are some shots from the commute to Boston. I have early morning shots and a few shots of the trains being set up in South Station.

Awesome! More to come! Always more to come!

;-P

Week 1 complete!

My first week of training is over! Next week will be a bit more rugged. I'm beginning to love this job more and more. And the people are wicked awesome! I couldn't ask for anything more!

I have some pictures from my commute I'll put up later tonight, or tomorrow.

Exciting times!

I'm done with day one of state street's proprietary training class! Yippie! Now on to the knitty gritty!

I'm building a stobist kit to help me out with portrait lighting. I'm very excited about that! That with the ringflash should result in very desirable portraits! PERFECT for shooting a beautiful bride!

I keep on getting better and better as I go along! Yippie!

More to come as the week goes on!
